Ok, I give in

Well, I guess that it was finally time. Eventually, I had to get involved in this whole online journal thing. Of course, being me, I ended up doing it in my own way. Which pretty much means writing it on my own site, and using my own rather heavily hacked up version of Movable Type with Markdown and SmartyPants (for both of which John Gruber deserves many thanks).

So here I am.

That said, I don’t really have much, if anything, to write about at the moment. I’m working on convolving a synthetic spectrum of the diffuse interstellar bands to do a reasonable comparison of it against data I’ve just been reducing in order to figure out if anything is there, but otherwise things are ordinary.

Well, as ordinary as they’re likely to be under the circumstances. Never having been both about to start grad school and about to get married, I really can’t comment on the meaning of “normal” under these circumstances.
